William Calvin served as a music teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools for many years. He was the recipient of the 2018-2019 OKCPS Teachers of the Year while teaching at Taft Middle School.

He was the recipient of the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation’s Excellence in Education while at Moon Middle School. He said he motivates his children to do well in the classroom and in life based upon his belief that anything is possible. “I don’t like to teach,” he said, “I absolutely love it. I would teach for free – I really would.”.

William Calvin is an amazing teacher whose mission was to ignite the passion for learning and music in every child.
